.. where Ikea gets stuck in snow!!

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!
if you have been following me on twitter you maybe found out two things: 1. they started making snow!!! (i know this, because this great new white snow is EVERYWHERE! and it is really really nice too.) and 2. i was going to go and check out if they are making the snow in this place that they made snow last year. but  i have to tell you – i did not go at once, because i wanted to watch how it is snowing very nicely. and then Angel wanted to play hide-and-seek. and then i was thinking about christmas cookies. and then i had to look up one word in the dictionary for Undu who now has a new hobby. but i can’t talk about it, it is supposed to be a secret!! so, then i forgot about it until i only remembered it again in the evening. so i wanted to go, really! and then – i got stuck!!!

u know, giraffes are know for their long necks, but it was even over my head! well, almost over my head, as u can see! also, it is a bit cold when the snow is all over your head too! i am happy that at least i managed to have this fotograf taken, so i could show you the big piles of snow that came down in just about one day! but no going to check the snowmakers this time, i’m afraid…

but i will make another try. because Angel also wanted to come and in fact, he might actually quite enjoy this. so, will go and discuss with Undu and Angel another way to get through the snow. Until then, please let me know if you have spotted any (other) places they are making snow! maybe they will not be at the same place, then it is good to know, u know! have fun and cu l8r!

.. where Ikea goes to.. ?

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

i have to say thanks for Angel for filling in for me last week! and i don’t mind him posting fotografs about himself. he does look pretty good on a fotograf, don’t you think? for an ice-bear, anyway! but i could not be at the computer (or phone) because, u know, i was totally mysteriously travelling into SPACE!

hehe, at least that’s what everybody was thinking when they first saw this fotograf! in fact, after that i did some research about this space-thing and i have to tell u that going into space sounds very interesting now. also, it seems to me, that i would then be the very first giraffe in space! so i will put it on my to do list!

but, as u can tell, i actually had to go washing. i have to admit, that washing is not my strenghts. so i had to take a good few weeks off just to prepare myself mentally. also, i had to buy some pills for sea-sickness u know. (because of the rotating thing that goes round and round and round and round). it’s not so great to be sea-sick in the washing, i can tell you!

so, after i got everything sorted out, i was finally ready. because, u know, it was not my first time in washing. it’s actually been several times in the big machine! but it is also a little bit fun too. especially being clean afterwards, hehe! also, for some reason, i now smell a little bit like roses.. that’s a little bit mystery to me, actually.

like every time after this washing thing it seems to me that it’s not such a big deal at all. so, now me and Angel we are putting together a list of wash-days for the whole year! so, there will be a wash-day once in every month and everybody can sign up in advance. that way it is not so easy to back out. because there may not be another chance for a while. because for example me, i cannot go together with Angel. because he would then be all orange afterwards, hehe! not so cool to be an orange ice-bear, i think!

also, i have a little tip for everybody who is going to go washing soon. you need a good rubbing afterwards!! for example, it takes at least a couple of hours of rubbing for the likes of me to get a really nice fur going again. so, make sure you have someone with a couple of hours of spare time for rubbing. especially those places you cannot reach yourself!

Ikea is… well he’s not here

Hello folks! It’s me, Angel here. I have to tell ya that Ikea is not here at ze moment. Luckily for me, because I can play with his new phone! So I found this place for taking photos and then I also discovered this blog thing!! So, because it is Tuesday, I’ll try to post something fun myself. But seriously speaking we, ice-bears, are not so much into fun things. Except for ice! Ice is a lot of fun. Also snow. OOh, i’m so waiting for the snow to start falling. Because it is all rain and rain and rain..

But, let me tell you the only fun story that I know about giraffes:

A Rabbit, a Giraffe and an Elephant jump off of a roof of 10-story building. Rabbit jumps first and counts the floors: “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 6, 5, 6, 5” – caugth by suspenders!
Giraffe jumps next and counts: “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6… 6!” -too long neck! Elephant then jumps last and counts: “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, asphalt, mud, sand, clay, stone, oh.. hello miners!!

hehehe.. not so funny really, is it?
I know this seems a bit cruel, but it’s the kind of humor that we, Ice-bears tell each other in these cold winter nights. Oh, and we eat fish too (whilst telling).
But, to finish off with a more fun note, I add a photo of the best-looking (Ice)bear ever (that’s me). It’s not a great photo, but I already know that. Because I had to let Saab and Volvo take this. And, mind you, they are not very great photografers, really. But I hope u like it. Now, we’re going to form a search camp to start looking for Ikea. Until then, best Fishes!
