Ikea For the Fun!

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!
and u know what day it is today? it’s Friday! it’s my favorite day in fact. it starts with F, u know. actually, it is FunFriday. also, i know that today Football World Cup starts. Football is also with F. so lots of Fs and fun. and today is the day when my friend Ikea For the Fun starts it’s travels too! check it out:

so this is my first travel bug. it’s actually not a bug, it’s a small giraffe, like me! it has a goal to get to Africa. Madagascar in fact. because i have this favorite film, Madagascar, and they want to go to Madagascar. and they have a lot of fun going there. so, i wanted to go to Madagascar too. but before i go there myself, i figured, i send my friend, little Ikea traveller. so help him get there! if he gets there, next he will want to go to New York too. so please help. he likes travel as much as i do, in fact. so, today he started his travels really from a geocache named Foorum – hehe, guess why this one :)
ooh, and if u don’t know what is geocaching, check out me geocaching. or if u live in Estonia, then there is a page where all the local geocachers live – over here at www.geopeitus.ee !!

And also! very important – if u have a cool story with Ikea4Fun, please share with me – send to ikea[ät]ikeathegiraffe.com, and I will share it on my blog here! have fun!

.. where Ikea is hunting for ice-cream

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

now. as i mentioned earlier, there is one thing every giraffe knows – when u go to Paris, u need to have some ice-cream! so, after some sightseeing..

.. and some geocaching (: ..

.. i went to hunt for some ice-cream from Île Saint-Louis!

it is an island in fact, right in the middle of the river! it is actually quite small island, so it seems to me that you can only find ice-cream shops there. and also a restaurant with cows on the windows. i actually told Undu about these cows and he was totally psyched! unfortunately, i have no fotografs of those cows.

ooh, this one tasted really really good. i think ice-cream is moving up fast in my top 100 best things to eat. (if u ask what place, then i’d say around 24th, because there are still 19 dishes of acacia leaves and 4 from apples that definitely stay ahead.) but there is one important thing – there is really two different kinds of ice-cream (shops) on that louis island – Amorino and Berthillon. and if u ask me, then they are totally different. so, after i finished my amorino, i was still a little hungrig, so i went to hunt for that other one! in fact, there was even a line for this one:

but eventually everyone got their ice-creams, including me – as u can see from the fotograf below. ooh, and by the way there has been some really nice weather last few weeks, so i tried some local ice-cream here and it is not that good. so, if u are travelling to Paris, then go to the ice-cream island! or, perhaps u have been there? which one did u like, the amarino or the berthillon? or maybe u can recommend me more very good ones to try? let me know in comments! so, have fun and cu l8r!

.. where Ikea goes to Montmartre

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

as i promised, here’s my first day in Paris. well, it’s not like the whole day, but more like a morning when i climbed up the hill to see a big white church. i’m not a big fan of churches myself, but i have a little fotograf at home taken from the same place with a giraffe on it. so, i wanted to see where this giraffe is. but  then of course, i took some other pictures too.

for example, here you can see me and the church. and people. first i tried to see if i could scare everybody away. but it seems to me that giraffes are not so scary, i’m afraid. so, i guess you can see me, people and some of the church then. but if you have really good eyes, you can see even more things, hehe!

then, after many hours of tourist fotografs and little geocaching (yep!) i carefully investigated the surrondings. as you can see, there is a really mysterious bird on this fotograf. so i tried to talk this bird into searchig for giraffes with me, but no luck there.

another good thing about this place Montmartre is that is up on a hill. so, you can use these funny instruments to observe a lot of Paris. and as much as i know, you should be able to spot any running giraffe with these because 1. giraffes are tall 2. with these binoculars u can see very far. for example, i saw the Montparnasse tower by where the Pari-Roller friday night skate starts. oh, did i not tell you about it last time? wohoo, u can see me attending the FNS on this little video here. well, i did not actually skate myself, i was just riding along, so to speak :)

unfortunately, i did not spot any giraffes. so instead, i bought a little train! i like trains a lot, as u know. of course, Angel has now totally owned it and has made it in parts so that he could spell ANGEL instead of IKEA. i can secretly tell you that it won’t work!

so, that’s pretty much all a giraffe, like me, can do for one morning. we’ll exept this other thing i did (we’ll of course besides eating baguette and cherry leaves – they smelled so nice). you can see it from this fotograf below. this will be a mystery for you – how did i do this trick? let me know! have fun and cu l8er!
