.. Supersize Ikea

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

so, it is time to reveal the mystery of me in Paris that i was talking about – if u have read the last two posts about me at the tower and Montmartre. and guess what – it’s not that i was eating some magic strawberries! (although my friend Timmy did eat a magic tomato, as i was just watching him in this batch of my friend Shaun’s adventures – very funny). but istead – they have made the houses in France a lot smaller!! check this –

i can’t even put my head through the door!

so i went to ask what’s going on from this Guy Dieu, who apparently lives in one of them churches – you can see me here knocking on his door. so he says – “it’s not ze real france, i’m afraid. it is ze France Miniature!” (he has a real funny french accent too) “so, zis is made for les giraffes, like u, exactly!” wohoo – a small france made exactly for giraffes, like me, so i don’t have to travel through the whole country! i like!

so, i must say i wandered around the whole country in just couple of hours :) and i have to tell u, that i made lots of fotografs too. too many in fact. so instead i have uploaded them to my flickr photos, please take a look if u want more. but i had also some other fun in this park, for example rolling down the hill with kids! gr8 fun, if u ask me! have u tried rolling down the hill this spring yet? let me know! have fun and cu l8r!

.. where Ikea meets French Cuisine

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

since i was in Paris just few weeks ago and i have heard that some of my friends are also going, i thought i give you some idea of french cuisine for tourist giraffes.

first of all, right out of hostel in the morning there is nothing better than a nice bottle of milk.

then, after a little bit of walking i usually get hungrig. so it is good time to take a crepe au chocolat.

because of springtime, the smell of cherry trees keeps you going. or, occasionally you can eat them.

for lunch, usually it is good to take some magic strawberries. that’s regular strawberries with some creme fraiche.

and the of course for the evening – a good dinner. for example we visited a restaurant that my friend Ardi opened just about two weeks before. it’s called Le Comptoir des Petits Champs. they have really good broccoli there.

as u can see, that’s what i was getting. the meat (and the wine too actually) is for my friend sipsik, she is a big meat-eater. and of course you cannot do without a lot of ice-cream!!! well, i have to tell u that the post about ice-cream is not yet ready.. but since ice-cream is so important part of Paris, i must write a separate post about it. so stay tuned! have fun and cu l8r!

.. where Ikea makes a snowman for Mother’s Day

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

apparently, the Paris mystery has to wait still. because last weekend i travelled to south-Estonia and discovered spring! u know, on saturday, it was 25*C!! this is approximately 20* more than it has been here in Kadriorg. because if you are a giraffe, like me, you’d prefer warmer climate, especially in spring or summer. so, as it is quite nice weather, i went to pick some flowers. i don’t like flowers all the time, but sometimes i like them. i don’t know why, actually.. most of them don’t taste very good either, i can tell you.

so, here it’s me roaming for some spring flowers, hehe.

and here i have gathered a whole bunch of them already. i mostly look for Sinililled because this is the favorite of my friend Sipsik. you know why? it’s quite simple, really. u know how they are called in Svensk – Blåsippssläktet. as u can see, my friend’s nickname (Sips) is also included in the flowers name! so, no mystery there at all!

after all this work i could not resist my chance to – sunbathe! i also did a little daydreaming too. quite nice with all this sun!

but not every day was like that, i’m afraid. because on sunday, it was snowing!! well, it was not snowing really, but i did discover a huge pile of snow! take a look over here:

this snow was very nice and soft, so i could dig a big hole inside. and u know, it is very much real snow!! so, i could not resist this time my chance to do the small snowman still this year, as my friend Sipsik suggested. so i did!

this snowman does remind me flickr for some reason, i have to say..  but it’s quite fun to build a snowman still on 9th of May in this neck of woods, don’t you think? this same day it also appeared to be a Mother’s Day, so it’s name is Happy Mother’s Day Snowman, hehe! so, lots of fun in south-Estonia. what about you, did you build a snowman for Mothers day or did you have 25 degrees? let me know! have fun and cu l8r!

ps. my facebook page now has 100 fans, jei! thanks for coming! if you know some other giraffe fans, then u can invite them also, it’s http://www.facebook.com/ikeathegiraffepage have fun!
