.. where Ikea is attending a sweep day in Kadriorg

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

now. i was going to tell u about the mystery in the last post about me being the size of a tower, but it has to wait! because this weekend i had a lot of fun attending the Estonian bee-day! apparently, there were many events all around, but i learned about my neighborhood event from my local facebook community of Kadriorg, which is where i live. so, as u may have noticed, i am all for community events, because of the fun. u know, in africa the giraffes only have community events actually. they never have a non-community events. so, there i was and, i managed to take a few fotografs in the process, jei!

here in fact u can see the house that we were sweeping. it seemed like a really big house with lots and lots of trash inside. which is quite funny because nobody lives there.. quite a mystery in fact. anyways, seems like this house will become the community cathering place for some time, so i guess it looks much better without all this trash inside. as far as i can tell, after the trash was cleared away, even giraffes, like me, could walk quite freely without hitting your head!

so here u can see some people putting the trash away in the bags..

.. and then some other people and me trying to put the new wheelbarrow together.

but this wasn’t the only activity. lots of people, including my friend Sipsik (although she is not on this fotograf) were raking the leaves in the park. in fact, the park was full of those leaves, all from last year or so. they don’t have too many leaf-eating animals in this park, i’m afraid. that’s probably why all these good leaves go wasted. i could help out myself, but it seems to me that they don’t have any acacias there..

but i have to tell you that this raking got me all tired. as u can see here on the fotograf, hehe! luckily we could have a break and see some russian people singing and dancing. this was in front of another house that was being swept by some other people. quite a lot of fun moves, i have to say :) i have to try some of these one day, maybe!

so, lots of work, but also some fun and a little bit of nice rain. there are in fact , so if u are into fotografs, check them out too :). but, what about you? did you go to help out on some of the bees last weekend too? or had some other fun event from the weekend? let me know and cu l8r!

.. where Ikea bakes for easter

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

looks like it has been easter. in fact, i did not know much about easter before. i guess i have somehow missed it last years.. i was probably playing hide-and-seek with Angel. so, it was a complete surprize for me to find out, it is easter. i even had left my camera home. so no fotografs with bunnies this year, i’m afraid. and, as i found out, it is not so easy get someone to get to take fotografs around easter at all. for some reason, everyone is running around with these eggs! i’m not a big fan of eggs myselft, i have to say. Undu however likes eggs a lot. he was in fact collecting eggs in his pocket and had to ditch the cow. — ooh, i remember now i have not told you about Undu and his pocket at all?! well, i guess it will have to remain as a mystery for now then, hehe!

so, where was i then? a yes, Undu was collecting eggs. actually, because eggs are quite big, he had to wear them in his hood instead. funny. so, finally i managed to do some baking with my friend Sipsik. and then had some really hard time getting some fotografs made. but i managed to get one of each. so, heres some strawberry cake, which is actually very good:

and then, here’s some oatmeal cookies! ooh, these are my favorites for now. oatmeal is actually very good, i sometimes eat just plain oatmeal, i have to say.. but as far as cookies, these are REALLY good! what about you, what did you do around easter? did you have some fun? so, cu l8r!

.. where Ikea wants to build a snowman

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

now, apparently spring is coming! because when i went out the other day the snow was all wet and sticky. and that only meant one thing – it’s time to build some snowmen! u may be surprized, how giraffes know how to make a snowman? well, guess what – they don’t! but remember, i am from Jonköping, the official capital of snowmen! so, i have observed many kids building big and small, so that’s how i know.

so i started rolling some big snowball very enthusiastically. because, giraffes, like me, are very enthusiastic actually.

u can see the long trail that i have rolled this snowball here, so it started out very well for me. and then, the snowball got bigger..

.. and bigger ..

.. and bigger ..

.. and even bigger now ..

.. and in fact so very big that i had to use my head too. for thinking – how to roll this ball. so i figured i use my head for pushing. that’s how there’s snow on my head, hehe :) but then, this large dog Trumm came right in front of me rolling my snowball!!

so, i could not go any further. so, i just decided to continue some other time, u know.. NOT! actually then i realized that the first ball had grown too big to finish the snowman on my own – i could not move it anywhere! because, u know, this time i had no friends travelling with me (in south-Estonia). i can tell you, that with Angel, Undu and others, building a huge snowman would be a piece of acacia leaf. so instead i made some snow angels, hehe :)

what about u, have you built some snowmen lately? perhaps u can post some fotografs? next time i will try to make a snowgiraffe, if i have time! so, c u l8er!
