.. where Ikea makes a snowman for Mother’s Day

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

apparently, the Paris mystery has to wait still. because last weekend i travelled to south-Estonia and discovered spring! u know, on saturday, it was 25*C!! this is approximately 20* more than it has been here in Kadriorg. because if you are a giraffe, like me, you’d prefer warmer climate, especially in spring or summer. so, as it is quite nice weather, i went to pick some flowers. i don’t like flowers all the time, but sometimes i like them. i don’t know why, actually.. most of them don’t taste very good either, i can tell you.

so, here it’s me roaming for some spring flowers, hehe.

and here i have gathered a whole bunch of them already. i mostly look for Sinililled because this is the favorite of my friend Sipsik. you know why? it’s quite simple, really. u know how they are called in Svensk – Blåsippssläktet. as u can see, my friend’s nickname (Sips) is also included in the flowers name! so, no mystery there at all!

after all this work i could not resist my chance to – sunbathe! i also did a little daydreaming too. quite nice with all this sun!

but not every day was like that, i’m afraid. because on sunday, it was snowing!! well, it was not snowing really, but i did discover a huge pile of snow! take a look over here:

this snow was very nice and soft, so i could dig a big hole inside. and u know, it is very much real snow!! so, i could not resist this time my chance to do the small snowman still this year, as my friend Sipsik suggested. so i did!

this snowman does remind me flickr for some reason, i have to say..  but it’s quite fun to build a snowman still on 9th of May in this neck of woods, don’t you think? this same day it also appeared to be a Mother’s Day, so it’s name is Happy Mother’s Day Snowman, hehe! so, lots of fun in south-Estonia. what about you, did you build a snowman for Mothers day or did you have 25 degrees? let me know! have fun and cu l8r!

ps. my facebook page now has 100 fans, jei! thanks for coming! if you know some other giraffe fans, then u can invite them also, it’s http://www.facebook.com/ikeathegiraffepage have fun!

.. where Ikea is attending a sweep day in Kadriorg

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

now. i was going to tell u about the mystery in the last post about me being the size of a tower, but it has to wait! because this weekend i had a lot of fun attending the Estonian bee-day! apparently, there were many events all around, but i learned about my neighborhood event from my local facebook community of Kadriorg, which is where i live. so, as u may have noticed, i am all for community events, because of the fun. u know, in africa the giraffes only have community events actually. they never have a non-community events. so, there i was and, i managed to take a few fotografs in the process, jei!

here in fact u can see the house that we were sweeping. it seemed like a really big house with lots and lots of trash inside. which is quite funny because nobody lives there.. quite a mystery in fact. anyways, seems like this house will become the community cathering place for some time, so i guess it looks much better without all this trash inside. as far as i can tell, after the trash was cleared away, even giraffes, like me, could walk quite freely without hitting your head!

so here u can see some people putting the trash away in the bags..

.. and then some other people and me trying to put the new wheelbarrow together.

but this wasn’t the only activity. lots of people, including my friend Sipsik (although she is not on this fotograf) were raking the leaves in the park. in fact, the park was full of those leaves, all from last year or so. they don’t have too many leaf-eating animals in this park, i’m afraid. that’s probably why all these good leaves go wasted. i could help out myself, but it seems to me that they don’t have any acacias there..

but i have to tell you that this raking got me all tired. as u can see here on the fotograf, hehe! luckily we could have a break and see some russian people singing and dancing. this was in front of another house that was being swept by some other people. quite a lot of fun moves, i have to say :) i have to try some of these one day, maybe!

so, lots of work, but also some fun and a little bit of nice rain. there are in fact , so if u are into fotografs, check them out too :). but, what about you? did you go to help out on some of the bees last weekend too? or had some other fun event from the weekend? let me know and cu l8r!

.. where Ikea goes to see the Giraffel Tower

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

as u can see, i was in Paris. so, i had to check out this big tower that i had seen from Montmartre. and, let me tell you – this tower is long like a giraffe’s neck! so i started to like this tower immediately. also, it seems like this guy who built this tower has a name which sounds like “giraffel”. so – as much as i understand French – that’s how they call it: the Giraffel Tower.

so, if you like it or not, i had to take some fotografs of this giant giraffe-looking thing. for example, here i am actually watching the Paris marathon runners go by, which i told u about earlier. (there is another fotograf taken on the same bridge, let’s see if u know which one!) as i understand, this is a really famous bridge for fotografing yourself with the tower, so i have now done that, hehe!

apparently, u can actually go up to the top of the tower normally. but for some reason, that day giraffes were allowed only to the second floor. i think it was either because of the clouds or something or because the elevator was not working. so, the nice fotos from the top will be left for the next time, i’m afraid. instead, i went to this nice park on the other side to taste some grass as i was getting a little hungrig.

however, with a little help of mystery and magic tricks, i was able to get to the first floor of this fun tower without any elevators. as u can see here, this tower IS REALLY long!!

it is quite mysterious this fotograf, don’t you think? how it is done? so this is quite similar to the question that i asked last week :) u can leave your answer in comments here, or you can comment on facebook.

and since nobody really guessed the mystery question correct last time, here’s another clue. but also another guestion – can u find the giraffe on this fotograf? let me know! have fun and c u l8r!
