.. where Ikea meets Moon Rabbit Tik

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

guess what happened! we got a visitor from Space! i don’t know if many of you guessed right from this fotograf:

but it is Tik, a rabbit from the Moon! yes! they have also made a film about that, check it out yourself! The film is called Lotte and the Moonstone Secret – very mysterious title, if u ask me! as you can see, my friend Lotte played in that film also! I like films a lot, u know. Because they start with F, just like Fun! so, that’s how Tik ended up with us – came to visit Lotte and he now maybe staying for a bit longer.
As for myself, i have not seen the movie yet. But my friend Sipsik promised to buy a DVD some day, so it looks promising. But i also have to tell u that i know most of the things that happen in the movie, except the secret part. Here’s me, Lotte and Tik talking about the movie, the plans of travelling back to the Moon and best things to eat:

we figured out that in order to get Tik back to the Moon, we first need to see the Moon. so, this is pretty much the situation at the moment (we are waiting for the moon):

(i just ran to computer to quickly post this) also, sitting on a radiator is a really good thing to do when it is about -30*C outside – like it was last night!! yes, it is quite cold in fact. even for giraffes, like me. and i’m not going to go out with this type of weather, i’m afraid.. so, i’m not sure about this plan of getting Tik back to Moon soon. But that is OK, because we have found out that Tik is quite good at Yatzy, so that’s a good thing. We might even teach him to hide-and-seek, although i have to tell u that most of the good hiding places are very much taken..
well, i guess we will figure something out, because it will be much fun! Until then, let me know if u have met Tik already, or seen the movie? have fun and cu l8r!

.. where Ikea builds a stone castle

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

for a start, i have a little question for u -why do you think is Estland called ‘Estonia’ in English? this, for a giraffe, is a gr8 mystery. but i have one idea – because they have a lot of stones!!

so, instead of all these great stones going to waste, i decided to build an eSTONEan castle, so to speak, hehe! and there is no better place to build a castle than Saaremaa, it seems to me. because, u know, Saaremaa is quite flat. like Holland for example. so, it is good to build a stone castle there – because you can see it from very long ways away. or, u know, when it is ready, amd you climb the tallest tower – and you are giraffe with a long neck – then you can see quite far too u know! in fact, i saw two rainclouds coming REALLY far away. because they only arrived in the evening. so, they must have been far. OR they took a really long detour…
but, before that, i had to actually build the towers. so, here’s me building:

so, this is going to be one of the small towers. u can see lots of towers in the background – i guess everyone wants to build a stone castle these days! but they only managed a tower or two, not more i’m afraid..

so, here’s me building some more. this is going to be a stone wall with a hole-y stone on top of it. quite fun stone, actually, hehe!

and here, something interrupting the building of the stone wall – woohoo! it’s a shadow!!
i have to tell u that giraffes are not very fast stone-wall builders. quite slow actually. but with all these fun shadows everywhere… it takes almost three times as much time!! i could say that building a stone wall with gr8 shadows like this one takes many more times the time it takes to play all levels of the giraffe apple-eating game. that’s quite a lot!

but, after all this great fun building, it’s ready! please, come look a little closer!

see, this is the courtyard. please, do come in.

no need to take off shoes, there are still stones everywhere! and mind your head! especially, if you are a giraffe! it’s because of the gate that i built here. u know, i wanted to build a gate with closed top because that way u can walk around the stone wall without ever needing to come off. so, it’s a bit like a carousel really. except that u need to walk or run yourself. i must say i ran three laps and my head got all dizzy. it’s probably because of my long neck, u know..

also, it is very well known fact that stone castles are REALLY good for playing hide-and-seek. here’s me showing the gr8 hide-and-seek potential of the stone castle. see if you can find me, hehe!

so, this is pretty much it, really. gr8 fun! ooh, almost forgot – finally this is where you need to climb in order to enjoy the view. it’s nice! have u built a stone castle this year? if not, let me know, we can go and build a couple more before the winter comes. not so much fun building a stone castle in the winter i’m afraid. much nicer to stay inside and play yatzy!
or read a book! because, u know, a really nice book came out, which has almost more than 1 MILLION giraffes inside!! it’s quite a big mystery in fact, how did they get there? but it sounds really good. u can check out this book over here! ps. if you have the book and u found me, Ikea – let me know!!!! until then, have fun and cu l8r!

.. where Ikea is playing yatzy with Saab och Volvo

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

i have had few questions about friends who are living together with me. so, i did a little research and here are the results: first, i guess you have already heard about Angel, the ice-bear. he usually sits on telly or hides in the bamboo basket, if u ask me. then, just recently a new friend, Undu moved in also. he’s very funny with his sheep coat. since about a year ago, we also have a girl in our house, named Leenu. apparently she’s not been on this blog yet. hmm… that’s probably because she’s really quiet! then i have also another friend called Vassu – he’s a calf. in fact, i may need to blog about him some other time in more detail, he’s actually quite funny. and then of course, there are Saab and Volvo. they are Teddy-bears. they are actually from Jonköping, Sweden, like me, so i guess they were actually the first roommates.

so, with a lot of fun outside in the snow recently, yesterday me and Saab and Volvo decided to do something fun in the house – to play yatzy. i think Saab and Volvo are playing yatzy and other games quite often with Leenu, but i have been really busy recently with my fotografs.

so, here we are, throwing dice. and if u are asking who won, then we don’t know for sure..! because in the middle of the game, when it was my turn and i was counting dice, Saab quickly ate the paper where we had been marking the scores! he wasn’t doing so well i’m afraid, that’s why. so, i think Volvo actually won because every time he had all sixes, as u can see here:

that’s really quite mysterious, i have to say. have u had anything like this while playing yatzy? let me know in comments and cu l8r!
