.. where Angel (ice-bear) meets ice figures

Hello folks! It’s me, Angel, here. Ikea is still busy doing other zings..
so, instead, me, an ice-bear. Luckily for me (and Ikea i guess) I have new Ice pics! As you may have read, ice is grand! So i read in the news about this grand park with ice figures, to check it out immediately. And what do i find! Very nice ice! Oh, and i took photos, as i said:

As you can see here, a hedgehog. Quite well crafted and recognizable in shape. Loooove the dots on the sides. Someone has stuck a coin on it’s forehead.. lame.

A wolf actually. Fishing – couldn’t tell, but i read it on the stand. I guess those on the side are fish-heads. Big ones! And mind you, it’s not a glow-wolf, there’s just a lamp behind it.

Magnificent fork! Reminds me of a sketch by Monty Python, also about a fork, evidently. I have yet to see a fork so massive though! Almost as high as a neighboring Opera house, as you can see!  Very well lit too! Did I mention there was a knife also? There was a knife also! (but smaller)

And here’s one of my favorites, a Bird! Ice Bird, not Larry or Angry or any of those. Could be an eagle though..

There were some others too, like a frog or averyniceblockofICE – at least that’s what it looked like. All very very much fun, so highly recommended to go and check it out. They are in Tammsaare park right now, but i suspect they might melt after a while. OR i might go and nick one or two.. Well, that DOES sound like a good plan, when I think about it..! So I have to go now then, best Fishes and stay cool!

.. where snow finally arrives and Ikea goes sledging

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

guess what! it’s a new year, 2012!! i’m sure this year will be even more fun than the previous ones. because, u know, finally the snow is here, in Kadriorg!! and this happened quite mysteriously, i might add, because it was suddenly all white just on Saturday morning – just like that! and i KNOW, this time the snow machines did not work..

so, once the snow was here, i was eager to test the new sledge that had mysteriously arrived in our home just around Christmas time. and i know it was not for me*, because we, giraffes don’t do sledging very much. well, until now that is!! because, apparently, sledging is lots of fun!!
so, here’s me checking out the seat belts and other things..

apparently, there was more snow that had not arrived during the night. Instead, it was snowing on me while sledging, hehe. i could almost not see anything AT ALL!

luckily, i had help driving this new sledge, so it was OK. we did make a big round in Kadriorg, but i don’t have more fotografs, because we were little bit afraid of this wild snow getting into the camera – because it very much tried, i can tell u! so, needless to say, sledging is lots of fun, probably will be ranked quite high on my 100 most fun ideas to do (for a giraffe) list, once i have time to put it together. but it COULD take some time, because i am very busy, especially now that all this gr8 snow is here, jei! in fact, i have to go to a secret place right now. so, until then, let me know if you have already had snow and if u have been sledging or doing any other fun things with it! Have fun and cu l8r!

* disclaimer – this sledge is actually my friend’s, Pipi’s. But she is not using it ALL the time, so me Pipi and Sipsik made a deal that (reads): “Other people (or animals – very important!) can also use the sledge – for sledging purposes only – when Pipi, or Sipsik (or their friends) are not using it at the moment.” so, it means that even my friend Angel could use it. But he’s not much into exercising, so we’ll see..

.. where Ikea goes to Tallinn Zoo!

Hello there! It’s me, Ikea!

i wanted to tell u about my trip to Tallinn Zoo! Finally! but, i have to tell u that they don’t have a giraffe i’m afraid. that’s basically the main reason we have not been to Tallinn Zoo yet.

so this time, because the weather was REALLY nice we went to check it out. and i have to tell u i mostly wanted to see ice-bears and maybe some wild cats. i can tell u right now that we did not see any wild cats, because of the weather. it was too hot for them, it seems to me. but we did see one ice-bear! Polar bear, in fact:

his name is not Angel, if u ask me. i think his name is Nord. but he was quite busy walking around so we did not get a chance to ask… again, i did not get a really good fotograf because my friend Sipsik had to go to see some birds. but i wanted to take some pictures for Angel. he could not come because he was hiding in the bamboo basked since last time of hide-and-seek, hehe!

but here’s some more animals we did see. a large BULL elephant for example up here. and down here, a bunch of LLamas. sleeping, mostly.

then there were also some other animals but i did not get really good fotografs because they were hiding. This one llama told me that usually they have this big game of hide-and-seek on Saturdays, so most probably half of them were out there playing. it sounds reasonable to me. so we’ll have to go maybe next time again. or, like my friend Undu, he likes to follow the cameras. but i did get to meet an Angry Bird, hehe!

other than that, it was all good fun afternoon. naturally we also had some ice-cream (my favorite) and when everybody else was muching on theirs, i got a chance to take a litte sunbathe, jei!
